PRIMALIT UV FILTER - protective waterproofing coating for roof structures and polyurethane foams -

PRIMALIT UVF is a one-component, water-based coating composition containing purely acrylate dispersion as bonding agent, pigments, fine grain sized bonds and additives that modify the properties of the composition as desired. After drying up the coating composition applied creates an elastic foil with perfect adhesive bond to the substrate.

PRIMALIT UVF - is supplied in - white, grey, red and greygreen. Other shades have to be agreed
upon with the manufacturer in advance.

PRIMALIT UVF-AL - is produces in non-standardised silver shade.

Use: protection of sprayed PU foams against UV radiation and weathering effects upon roof and cladding structures, protective and insulating layers for roof structures having their surfaces on the basis of bitumen.

The composition has a very good adherence to PU foams, silicate and bituminoues substrates as well as to galvanized metal sheets. It maintains its elastic properties also at negative temperatures and is therefore able to transfer stresses due to linear changes as well as hair cracks and microcracks in the structural substrate. It features low dirt pick-up rate, great resistancy to the effects of water, UV radiation, and temperature fluctuations and high resistancy to alkaline hydrolysis.

Surface preparation: PRIMALIT UVF shall be applied on a dry surface free of mechanical and greasy impurities. Absorbent subgrades shall be primed with PRIMER coat.

Paint application: The composition itself can be applied onto the subgrade by means of rolls, tar brushes, or by spraying at least in two layers applied in a time interval of 24 hours. The second layer should always be applied perpendicularly to the direction of applying the previous layer. It is recommended to use reinforcement in the form of meshed textile and to increase the number of coats for severe applications. During the time the coats are being applied and getting dry the temperature of the ambient air and of the substrate must not drop below +10 °C. During drying the coat must not be affected by rain or sagging water.
The composition in the consistency as supplied is ready for immediate application.

Theoretical spreading rate: PRIMALIT UVF - PU foam amounts to 0,7 - 1 kg/m2, when applied on silicate substrates the consumption amounts to 1,5 - 2 kg/m2 . PRIMALIT UVF-AL - 0,15 - 0,20 kg/ m2.

Packing and storing: Packing in plastic baskets of 1,5 kgs - 45 kgs. The product shall be stored in its original packages under +5 °C to +25 °C in places protected against direct sun radiation and against sudden temperature fluctuations. The shelf time is 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Safety and hygiene: PRIMALIT UVF is a non-combustible and non-toxic composition. It dries up rapidly when applied and adheres to the skin. Sensitive individuals may suffer from skin irritations. It is recommended to wear protective gloves, to wash the skin by soap and water after work, and both prior to and after the work to treat the skin with skin cream.
