Meat shops [ Town house or building ]

Nový Jičín, Masné krámy
"Meat shops" originated in the former hous of Dora can-woman, that was purchased from her by the village in 1613. After 1800 was on the I. floor out of the will of the village built a roomy dance hall, said to be the largest in Moravia. It is not without interest, that here
frequently came with his orchestra "the king of waltz" Johann Strauss. Since 1920's the hall served as well for the needs of theatre. In 1823 the young František Palacký, a native of near Hodslavice, visited one performance here.
